New tour operator at the Capital Prize Gold Mine in Georgetown, CO

Starting in 2018, the Capital Prize Mine in Georgetown, CO will be run by a new tour operator. Paul Hintgen operated the Country Boy Mine in Breckenridge, CO before moving to Georgetown last year. The Country Boy had been in business for 12 years prior to Paul coming in, however he increased attendance by 28% the first year of owning it. In contrast, the Capital Prize opened for tours this past summer with very limited success. "I realize the Capital Prize has no attendance base, and very limited marketing efforts in place such as website, Facebook, Instagram, etc. I will essentially be starting from scratch" says Paul Hintgen.

Since being approved by the State in March 2018, we have seen a slow but steady increase in attendance. However, where we really shine is in our customer ratings. As of December 2018 I have received a 5 star rating across all platforms including Google, Trip Adviser, Yelp and Face Book.

The picture below is me with Method Man in front of the portal. Method Man of Wu Tang Clan fame and his partner Red Man came to the mine for a photo shoot for their album "Blackout." Method Man was pretty cool to hang out with; can't say the same for Red Man.
